Ageing for women is often viewed as a negative process. What’s something you’ve done recently that helped you realise that ageing is a gift and it gets better from here? Looking for inspo from the Threads community 🙏

I am starting to realize I have to bend over backwards for toxic people anymore . There are plenty of other people who I can focus my attention to.

It’s not huge, but it made my mom a little angry. I let my hair go gray after my hysterectomy. I still wear it long and style it. But my body can do more at this age than hers could, even if my hair might “age” me.

The cumulative effect of the books I’ve read is enormous!! Very capable of critical thinking and curious to learn about the opposite opinion. Way more humble. The more you know the less you know and all that.

People come to me for advice because they know I've been through some things... And by been through some things, I mean the kind of things that bring you to your knees in pain and sorrow. And you're not sure that you will get up again so you have to learn some new things. I believe I'm a wise woman on the road to crone. The best part is I just don't care as much... What other people think of me is not my business. Living my best life is my business.
