If there is any breastfeeding support near you I highly recommend you find it early on. Here in the UK there are breastfeeding cafes with peer support mentors and we also paid £60 for a lactation consultant. It can take guidance to get the hang of it. Plenty of people also have an over supply of milk; I wouldn’t worry about supply as long as you get it going early on, including pumping.

I exclusively breastfed all 3 of my kids. The hardest time was the first few weeks with my first. It was hard. Hard to figure out the latch. My nipples hurt. Felt like my baby wasn’t getting enough because you have no idea how much they are eating unlike with bottles. But I stuck through and I’m so glad I did. It became so easy. Food on tap. The following 2 kids were a breeze right from the get go. Once you get it…..you get it and it’s just easy

It’s hard. Highly suggest pumping 1-2 times a day so you keep your supply and have a freezer stash

My only advice is don’t give up. And don’t beat yourself up if you can’t do it.
