A client inquired about a wedding date. After sharing my rates and availability she told me that her budget was $510 less than what I quoted even though I discounted services and waived the travel fee ( her venue was 16 mins from my home) …she replied with “that’s a shame cause you do really good work.” 😒

I think it’s fine for someone to decide a vendor is out of their range. That’s life. There were wedding bands and wedding photographers I could not afford. But it’s not okay to expect every vendor to discount their rate (which reflects experience and time and talent) to accommodate you. Good for you for sticking to your value.
