I need DMV advice Raleigh NC ! I need to renew my license and appointments have only been available months out. When I first got my license, I lined up on two separate days at the Avent Ferry DMV. Are there any ‘secret’ DMVs that are quieter? I’m in Cary but happy to drive an hour each way if it overall saves me time. If not, has anyone been to one of the Raleigh ones recently and is it true they’ve changed the rules about lining up - it’s now from midday instead of early morning?

3 小時內	Sapna Patel uncsapna	I just did mine in Elkin, NC on Friday. I made the appointment in June! It was quick though. I was in and out in about 15 minutes total. I have friends there so I just made a day of it.
3 小時內	Nanette Vinson nanvinson	You can renew online too. You just can’t do online twice in a row. Online is the best! But I had to go in person this last time. Yes line begins at noon just like others have said. They also have wait times online but not very accurate until after 1 or so. They send you a text while you wait in your car with a guesstimate.

12 小時內	Erin Brooks Anderson erinbrooksanderson	When does your’s expire or did it already? You can fly with an expired license if it’s within a year. Don’t ask how I know😜😜. You can renew online if you aren’t getting a REAL ID. Spring forest is pretty good about getting people in and out. Avent ferry tends to be slow, so if SF isn’t good for you then go to new Bern Ave, or an out of town one like louisburg etc.
