Had an interesting conversation with two relatives last night who voted for Trump. I asked how they thought his presidency would impact their lives and the world, e.g. the huge tariffs, deportation of 20M people, possibly pulling out of NATO, etc. They said he's not really going to do any of that - it's all "posturing." So I said, "you mean you voted for a guy who you don't believe is going to do any of the things he absolutely promised he'd do over and over again?" And they said "yeah."
