Yesterday’s little simple story post had only two points: 1. How to proactively seek out black-owned businesses in every day life for those of us that wish to financially support our own community. 2. How sad it made me that because of my skin color (I’m black, but sometimes it’s hard for even other black people to catch) - someone had to weigh out whether or not I was safe to talk to. I’d thought we’d gotten past this for the most part, but, alas, that is not the case.
