“I think it would be fine” is not too reassuring. You are talking about your childs life. Here in the US bedsharing is not the safest way to put your baby to sleep.

We opted to have her in a bassinet right next to our bed. I was much more relaxed having her next to me without the anxiety of an accident. On vacation, she refused to sleep in her pack n play (although it was identical to the one at home) because travel messed with her. She was 6mo then but I was super careful and let her sleep with me since we were in a hotel, I didn’t want her to cry and disturb others.

When our LO was a newborn we used to put her on our softest pillow that kinda “hugged” her a bit so she wouldn’t roll and once she outgrew the pillow we got one of those like infant bed and it has a bumper it helps us maintain a boundary, we have the top of the bed at the top of our bed to ensure our heads are at the same height and don’t have to worry about a blanket going over her. It wasn’t our intention to cosleep, we just did that for naps and we stuck with it

The safest way for your baby to sleep is right next to you. And that has nothing to do with your nationality ❤️ my baby slept right in my arms from day one and is still with 2 years old.

Yep& it changed the game for us entirely. Safe Seven is steps to be cautious. I agree some people might not like to but like you I could wake up to the slightest whisper 5 miles away. We breastfed too she'd feed or sooth &it was great. I also didn't every single night but again you're mama &know yourself & your baby better than anyone. I just imagine our ancestors like laying down to sleep in their cave & then sticking their baby behind a rock somewhere til morning 😆 it doesn't add up to me.
