It was awful. I went into cervical shock and fainted/vomited. Was so crampy and sore. I ended up pulling it out myself a couple weeks later because I couldn’t stand feeling metal inside me any more.

I haven’t heard a single good story about those. There are so many more options. Look into them.

Mine was incredibly painful and I bled moderately heavy for almost a month with intense cramping. I will say, once I felt better it was amazing and I kept mine for 5 years (kyleena). I had it taken out two months ago and I refuse to get another due to the pain. It’s just too bad because it worked so well for me but the insertion was traumatic. Ask for pain management and no ibuprofen is not enough! Wishing you a more positive experience and bring a pad💕

I puked, literally writhed in pain on the floor from cramping, felt it inside me the entire month I had it and didn’t stop spotting the whole month. Cried relentlessly for the month. And got it taken out during my check up. Not worth it

Getting it insured kinda sucks but it isn't to bad, when they need to be replaced pulling out hurts worse, but really is only m tender for 30 min - 1 hour. Ive had both the 10 year and the 5 years.

Girl I went from laughing with the dr to grasping at the air so frantically that the nurse came and held them. So thankful for her

I didn’t realize I had to take medication to open the cervix to make the pain hurt less of getting it inserted. However the mood swings made me so emotional that I would have mental breakdowns and get extremely suic**al. The cramps were also the worst god awful thing I have ever been through. It was close pain that rivaled a kidney stone. But that was my body. You could have a totally different experience. If your insurance covers it, take the chance and see if you like it. If you don’t, then

I haven’t had kids and also took ibuprofen before hand and it was the worst pain I’ve ever had. Idk what going into labor feels like but I’m sure it’s pretty close. HOWEVER, getting it removed was pretty easy with light cramping (also took ibuprofen then)
