It's really easy to parade techno optimism and exaggerate the capabilities of generative AI for profit, attention, consulting gigs and your LinkedIn followers. There's no shortage of people who are doing that even in a very credible way often using pseudo PR papers that appear like real research on things like the productivity boost of generative AI or Silicon Valley leadership in the space.
