By focusing on the "tricks'" and snippets, we lose "story". Without the story, the meaning behind the performance and choreography is useless. Like with compulsory moves in ice dancing, creativity is pushed way down the list of important aspects for the more eye-popping performance of nailing the landing. What was the dance about? How did it make me feel? What did I learn about myself or others by having this experience? ~ * it's all just entertainment then. Temporary and weightless.
