On 26 October, my phone was pick-pocketed (very stealthily) out of my jacket pocket in Piccadilly Circus in London. I immediately locked it down and put a “reward” message on the screen (It’s an iPhone you can do that). The following morning, the “Find my” feature had it in Ilford, London. Unfortunately, there was no way for me to get from where I was to where it was and still it back to Heathrow for my flight. Last night (11 November) “FindMy” found my phone again

The geolocation is good enough that I can tell you exactly which vertical of the apartment building it’s in (just not the floor or apartment number), and there’s still no way to get to it. This is super-duper frustrating. 1. Yes! I’ve already replaced the phone 2. No! I’m not especially worried about stuff being stolen - I mostly just want the photographs that weren’t backed up returned. 3. I’ve considered putting a new message on the screen in Arabic…
16 小時內	Margo Mead beadiemom	I've never had my phone stolen, but if I did, I would have peace of mind knowing that every picture I have taken on the phone is automatically backed up. I can't understand why everyone hasn't turned that feature on. You can back up in iCloud, right? I back up my android phone into Google photos.

18 小時內	Kathryn H🐭🌈🌎 fractal.life	I had my phone stolen in Barbados. Because it was locked they couldn’t do anything with it. I watched it on find my iPhone, saw a couple of locations. But because they couldn’t unlock it they eventually just threw it in a field. Got it back, all was good.
