Full disclaimer, I do not care about Disney nor the theme parks. I actively avoid them. IMO the best areas to live in Orlando is Audubon Park, Mills 50, Winter Park, Thornton Park, College Park. Fair warning that these are also the most expensive.

Depends on your budget I’ve always loved Winter Park

We are near belle isle and Conway, never anything to fear from hurricanes but very suburban not a lot of walking or trendy shops those are just a few blocks away 10-15 mins, look at "city run" instas too it'll let you know how active the community is!

Just don't set yourself up for a long commute to/from work. So unless you'll be working remote I suggest your starting point be your job and start looking for housing from there.

I moved here from Tampa last year! I love the Hunter’s Creek area! And surprisingly the rent is cheaper here than Tampa.
