Scenario: I’m meeting my future daughter-in-law’s friends and family at an engagement party this weekend. I am a young stepmom but will essentially be filling the role of mother of the groom. The party is at a brewery and will be a sort of open house affair from 2-6PM. WTF do I wear? I’m pretty socially awkward and VERY socially anxious, so comfort is important. But I also really want to make a good impression since these people will be extended family. Oh, and I know nothing about fashion. 😩
