It means that I appreciate life is short. I’m making choices to surround myself with people I share values with and gain strength from. It means trying to do more for my community now that I have raised my children and have more time. And it’s having faith that I don’t need to surround myself with toxicity. For me, it’s accepting the things I can’t change & letting go of the things I can’t get back. I’m accepting my age & wrinkles. I can’t get back my youth or time wasted on things that don’t matter. I’m learning to appreciate the slower pace because I can see the little things. In this moment however, I’m feeling the rage & disappointment everyone else is feeling. I’ve come to accept that I can no longer rely on my internal filter and I’m appreciating the freedom I have to tell someone to fuck off

For me it mainly means being comfortable in my own skin, wearing what I want, having a hair style that I want, and not going overboard on esthetic measures to look younger. I want expression as I have earned every line on my face - I just don’t like to look mad (those dang glabeller lines).

For me it’s being fearlessly authentic. Take care of myself as best i can. Embrace getting older because it’s a gift. 💙💪🏼💙
