A recent lesson in consent Part 1 We went to Universal for M's birthday. J wasn't so sure about some of the rides, but she tried. We waited in line for Forbidden Journey and at the very last minute when she saw the ride had harnesses as we were about to get on she went in to a full blown panic- grabbing the railings, kicking people away, screaming and trying to leave. Ride attendants moved towards her and I asked them to give her space and just show us how to leave.

2 分鐘內	Healing, growing, learning. themajekfam	Part 2 I got her outside where she immediately started crying and saying she was sorry because she knew I really wanted to go on that ride. She's not wrong- I had been looking forward to it all day. I asked her if her body made her feel like she did not want to go on it and she said yes. I told her she NEVER had to apologize for listening to her body. That is did not matter who was inconvenienced, how they felt, nothing. If something feels wrong or unsafe she SHOULD fight.
