Don’t get me wrong, there is nothing wrong with being a lesbian. But I am attracted to guys, & this was kind of concerning. So I was talking to my girl friend & telling this story and she started laughing and was like “omg, yeah, I totally thought you were into girls at first too!” And now I was starting to get pissed off, because is it okay to just be assuming things about people like that?? So I asked her, “I don’t understand, what exactly about me gives off lesbian?” 2/?

Okay but people assume other people are straight all the time. Why is that acceptable and the reverse isn't? Also, I'm a nonbinary AFAB who is comfortable presenting a a woman, and I have short hair and zero tolerance for bullshit. I'm happily partnered with a man. If you want to find a man, you need to find one who loves your strength. You don't need to change yourself.

You being concerned about other's biases is no place to start. Authenticity begets authenticity. I assume you mean you're a tomboy? I am as well. I'm even worried I use that as a "mask" to my femininity...but honestly, I think it's ALL trust. The right people (and I've found 3? In my 33 years), will see you thru all masks.
