Here's another aftermath story: Yesterday, I got my certificate online so I could officiate the marriage of my Hispanic friends. He's not certain of his documentation status, and his mother is currently on hospice and dying with alzheimer's, so he can't get those answers from her. He's been here since he was 6 months old; he's 54. Owns a business pays taxes, etc. But he's fearful he'll be rounded up and deported. He's leary of trying to find out his status in case he becomes a target.
