Who decided that we should call all these “Afro house” edits, which are coming out every ten minutes, Afro House? Like, what’s Afro House about them? The bass line and rhythmic patterns hardly follow any African, or any ethnic percussion patterns for that matter. Most just have these double snare hits and some shakers, which doesn’t make it Afro. Where are the African or ethnic percussions? Which elements from Afro house are actually being used in order to classify them as such 🧐
