Locs with “curly ends” came through like crack in the 80s. Idk how to explain it but as a loctician it was upsetting because I really seen the texturism bias. All the Loc inspos have the same type of texture which left those with a tighter curl pattern underrepresented & wanting curly ends when it couldn’t be done naturally. It kinda felt like folks were saying looser curl hair is “good hair” without saying it.
