I think UBI would help a bit, it'll still be a long time until we're ready for UBI but it's inevitable as eventually there will be many more people than jobs. With UBI people could still work part time for extra income while companies pay taxes in to fund it, then companies that use more AI/automation will be taxed higher for the jobs they are cutting. If we don't do something about it, our future will look a lot like the Ready Player One movie
