The valley. Probably Eugene. I'm further north near Salem but I'm about 90 min from the ocean, big city, mountains, and high desert.

Willamette valley , hour drive to coast or mountains, Salem, Albany, Eugene all fall in this zone but Albany is the small town feel with less traffic

If you suffer from seasonal allergies, avoid the Willamette Valley, particularly around Oregon State U. Wildfires are also an issue for anything south of Eugene, not because your house will burn but the smoke makes the air unbreathable for days at a time for two months of the year. I live on the coast, where for six months of the year is bone dry and the other six are rainy most days of the week.

Absolutely no where!!! Do not move here! Year by year it gets worse and worse and there is absolutely nothing for kids to do in the pathetic State!! We have two more years until we retire and then we are leaving this god forsaken State!!!
