Hi, My name is s Birdie(online nickname) and I used to be a homophobic/transphobic bigot. I was told awful things about the LGBTQ+ community and I was SO naive that I believed them without even questioning it. This led me to treat alot of innocent queer people very badly. I recently decided to do some research and talk to some queer people I knew to try and better understand them and I quickly realized that all those awful things I was told about this community were completely false. I refused to admit I had ever dressed as a girl for fear and embarrassment but repressing my own feelings deep inside and I call trans folx "unnatural". Took me many years to finally admit to myself and come out. And I'm SO much better for it. We all live and learn and grow.. well the decent and empathetic among us eventually do. Love you!! ❤️
