When I was a kid, Mum loved extra strong mints, and would regularly send me to the corner shop to buy a quarter of them. She asked me to go to the shop and get a pound of mints, and the shopkeeper kept asking if I was sure she wanted a pound? I said yes. Got home wth her mints. She sent me back to return them, turns out she wanted a pound of mince from the butchers! 🙈 very embarrassing for my little self 😳 mistakes
