My son of course proudly claims me as the author when she says the title. His teacher doesn’t believe him. Which is whatever. So he takes out his laptop and googles it as proof. The girls is like “yeah that’s it.” He’s pleased to have convinced his teacher that I’m in fact an author. Thanks for being proud of me but you also completely blew my cover. I hope his teacher doesn’t ever bring this whole interaction up. Because attention… yuck Mostly I’m emosh that he’s so proud of me.

My daughter told her school nurse all about me being an author so when I went in to pick her up she asked about my book 🤣 and then she told her teacher too and her teacher was like ‘you should come in and talk about being an author with the class’… these are third graders, my romance authoring knowledge may not apply 🤣🤣🤣

During DARE at school I told my teacher my mom was a drug dealer and I started crying cause I thought she was a bad person and was gonna go to jail. The teacher was like, what? And I told her my mom sold drugs to people at Eckerd (a pharmacy) and the teacher had to explain that some drugs were okay as long as you had a dr's note 😂😂

I hope you’re more proud than mortified! lol 🥰 My kids told their friends that I worked in a dungeon… because I jokingly said it *ONE* time since I worked in the basement at an inpatient hospital pharmacy. 😑 Then eventually when they got a little older, they told their friends I was a certified drug dealer. 🤦🏻‍♀️

My kids would tell people that I blew things up for a living. Not quite… I just collect data on what gets blown up but they said that was boring. Makes for some interesting conversations with parents and teachers!
