Or an idiot. There's no badge of honour for enduring pain. It's another medical gaslighting thing for woman to endure.

I was given an epidural on my first baby and my back has never been right since. I had to have an episiotomy that still bothers me 17 years later. The four children I gave birth to after her without an epidural were far easier and I didn’t tear or have to me cut.. I would never have an epidural. It doesn’t make me an idiot, or a subject of gaslighting.

Someone is an idiot for enduring something that is by design, natural? And don't come at me about modern medicine because I've had an induction, epidural, and C-section. I've also had an unmedicated Vbac. For various reasons, the vaginal birth can be so much better for a vast majority of women. Obviously, surgery is so important to save lives, and I won't judge who chose to have a C-section because that was me too.
