Well, what helps me is making an 'event' out of rereading my manuscript. Pop some popcorn, sit down with a fav drink, then open that bad boy as a pdf file and just read. Reorients my brain that I really do have an interesting story to share.

I’m new to writing but this has struck me twice and each time, all I can do is try to occupy my mind with something else for a couple days/weeks, and wait it out. I was so tempted to delete what I’d done so far, and I’m so glad I didn’t. You are plenty capable of sharing good, quality stories with the world, and your stories matter. Your voice matters. 💜

I got an endorsement from an expert, top of her field, on my first book and decided that my self doubt was an affectation. When it emerges as an old issue, I reread that endorsement and get back to work
