Sorry but everyone seems to be looking for 3BR homes in nice parts of metro areas. That has never been affordable for most people even in the post WWII boom in housing. People just start in crappy houses in crappy neighborhoods and hope to move up in 10-years unless you inherit a big down payment and have big jobs. Housing is affordable but likely not where you want it. Try the smaller cities in the Midwest. Nice homes around $100k. People just don’t want to live there.
