I suspect it has to do with the side effects - loss of libido, weight gain in the midsection, being desert dry in the nether region, hair loss, sagging body parts, nearly complete change in basic personality due to different hormones, unwanted hair in places females "aren't supposed" to have hair... and these are just the ones that aren't connected to general deterioration of overall physical and mental health.

Entering my crone phase and looking forward to emparting elder wisdom to maidens and mothers. When my periods stop I will still be a feminine woman, I'll still fill out a bra with naturally grown bounty and pee from a urethra that is seperate from other cavities.

I had a hysterectomy 10 years ago, aged 43, due to adenomyosis. Best. Thing. Ever. My periods walked out the door along with all the fucks I did not give.

Same here. Good riddance to 35 years of periods, pain and hormonal imbalances. Sure, there are some downsides to being post-menopausal but at least I'm not taken out for 3 days a month just to cry.

Two years period free and sooo happy about that.

I guess these women based their personality around “femininity”. For me, being feminine felt like a massive effort throughout my life.
