Poorly stewarded is quite charitable. The abuse, misuse, and ignorance pontificated as from on high has been downright embarrassing.

I spent years walking into congregations of all brands and found myself cringing from what I heard from those who should have known better. But between the half truths and Jesus jingoisms I finally would have to abandon ever encountering anything that might confront my own tendencies to treat a neighbor as if they weren’t regardless of their ethnos.
