Would love to connect with exvangelical GenX and boomer parents. Raised our kids evangelical, came to our senses and are deconstructing instead of doubling down. Going to throw up if I read one more account of a parent choosing Jesus over their kids. Where are my people? Exvangelical

We deconstructed while he was in seminary 2005-2008 actually and luckily our kids were early grade school so we didn’t continue the pattern with them. Liberal Presbyterian now! I still wrestle with it. It’s worth it I promise!

I’ve being heading from low contact to no contact recently with my evangelical right MAGA mother who turns 86 tomorrow. It’s a really rough week, but I’ve never regretted my decision to leave the church and embrace my children’s future and my humanity.
