1 - This morning I had to give my mum the news that her birth mum had passed away last night. She never got to meet her, she had been trying for 25 years. In the last four years I had established contact with one of her birth sisters. There had been promises of meeting and for us to travel to the small island off the Republic of Ireland. We were finally about to book flights and then told her health had declined and to wait, it was too late. My mum was given up for adoption in 1949 👉🏻
