As a formerly frustrated singer, yes you can do it. One of the best lessons i learned in singing is that most of the improvement comes through repetition more so than anything else. Because everything is in theory until you put it to practice. It took me 8 years to even tell myself i can sing good. and I was a really terrible singer. So take it from someone who had no singing ability, you can and will exceed the expectations (especially if you have an on hand vocal coach)
