Thinking back to when the Third Street Promenade in Santa Monica was such a fun and vibrant place to go. Book shops, record stores, toy stores, Shiva Imports(!), great restaurants, the movie theater, etc. We'd frequently make the trip there from here in Burbank and spend HOURS wandering around the area (including walking out onto the pier), then returning home with bags of books, records (or CDs), and collectibles. It's a ghost town now.
