Give them a space that’s just theirs and where no one will bother them. So they learn to go there when they don’t want to be bothered.

Make sure you understand the breed to provide the proper enrichment to fulfill your pup's needs. A lot of problem behaviors (not all of them) tend to stem from lack of enrichment. Look into puzzle feeders, stuffed kongs, chewables, lick mats, etc. Search for your trainer's credentials - don't just hire anyone. The dog training industry is unregulated, so there are a lot of trainers with no actual education on canine behavior and have outdated methods.
