my contractions hurt so bad that i didn’t even feel the needle go in because that pain was nothing compared to the contractions

Once the contractions are going you WELCOME THE needle in the back. I’m not even joking

not painful at all for me. loved my epidural. you got this!!!

I’ve had 4. It hurts for literally 10 seconds and then you can’t feel anything. I am so glad I got the epidural. I literally took a nap each time until it was time to push ( I was induced at night each time).

Uncomfortable, but after the contractions it won’t even phase you. I made an uncontrolled noise in response like “EEEEEEEEEEEE” like a high pitched bumblebee and then it was over and so were the contractions and everything was lovely and I slept

It’s not painful. Genuinely, for me it was like a pinch. It doesn’t hurt as much as contractions.

I didn’t find that it hurt that much, the numbing does help a lot and on the day of you’ll probably be too occupied to feel the fear that much anymore

Congratulations on your bundle of joy. Epidural did not hurt me after initial numbing shot. I see a lot of people saying that when they were having contractions, those hurt worse. I didn’t feel mine but the epidural process wasn’t that bad. Ask your nurse to hold your hand if you need to.

I didn't have pain meds during either of my births. I wish I had! Get the epidural! Don't let others guilt you into not doing everything possible for pain relief. You won't feel the epidural. I had one when I broke my ankle.
