a year ago, i had my first ultrasound. it was the first and last time i got to see my baby. the doctor had trouble finding the embryo because it was so small. we thought that maybe i was earlier along the pregnancy, but a week later i miscarried. i ended up having what they call a missed miscarriage, where the baby stops developing but your body hasn’t realized it yet. i went a whole month thinking i was still pregnant, but i wasn’t.
