Make sure you’re hitting your accessory lifts. Get some tricep isolation exercises and don’t ignore your dumbbell bench. Most assuredly it will be far less than your barbell bench but the gains you can make there can be astronomical.

I found some good success with doing a really heavy static hold before trying for a 1rm. Check out Jen Thompson. She is a beast with a ton of great advice.
