Children being born out of wedlock has been happening for centurues—nothing new. My husband and I and all of our friends don’t have “God in the home” and are happily married. The real reason divorce is up is that women are not as reliant upon men anymore, so they do not have to stay in bad marriages anymore.

There are going to be millions & millions born ‘out of wedlock’ now that u religious nut cases are forcing women to have babies they don’t want & can’t afford. Most marriages of the past were only because of pregnancy. Women no longer need to marry men who are dismissive, abusive, disconnected, uninvolved, unhelpful, jobless, unstable, etc., just because of a pregnancy. Adding a useless man to the equation means 3 x’s the labor for the woman.
