Maddie is there to help her in order to fell both better, while Vi never actualy left. Cait left Vi and tried with Maddie, but Cait can’t hate Vi for what she have done. If you look closer, it’s Cait that is leaving to relaborate her mind and Vi to fall down and passing trough a black mood. Cait changed a lot whitout Vi on her side, but in the moment we see them both together, she shatter her early personality and goes back to be herself again. Capisce?
