Wild question. Gladiator famously used preexisting shots of Oliver Reed as he had passed part way through the filming process to complete the film. If it had been done now, but with the use of AI, it would likely be condemned, but instead was lauded for brilliance and artistry. They're doing the same thing essentially, but one is morally acceptable while the other demonized. Arguably, AI would lend more creative options because it isn't reliant on existing footage to work around. Thoughts?
