People who move to Colorado have a hard time making friends, say their depressed and lonely.. Why do you think that is and what should they do (other than moving home)? Denver Threads

This is so true!!! I’m particularly disappointed with the AA community. I’m Not sure why it’s that way but being from the south, I’m used to more community but haven’t found it here yet.

I’ve lived in Colorado for almost 30 years. It took 12 years to have 5 fabulous friends. It’s a transition city. Many never stay here cause it’s too expensive and it’s always been that way. When you can afford living here, there are no jobs so you work 4 jobs . Right now it’s too expensive so people are leaving. When I first moved here a girl once told me in a coffee shop “we already have great friends and don’t need more” I’m leaving in 18 months . Pretty much can’t wait.

What genre(s) of music do you like? Start going to shows, even local - especially local. Make friends with the other attendees. I bet you'll see some of them at multiple shows.
