Why exactly are these 'working farmers' waiting until they die to pass their farms on to their children? Surely when they retire that's what should be happening? Or do all farmers magically drop dead at 65?

Statistically the average age of “farmers” is on the rise because most don’t have someone to take over the farm. So the farmer keeps working it until he/she croaks and then it gets passed on to the children who then sell it off.
