Do you mute the work phone after hours? If yes, then does it matter what time they text? Make sure all parents know you only respond to texts during working hours x to x. Their schedule may mean they deal with admin late at night - doesn’t mean you have to read and respond right then.

I feel like you can text someone 24/7 - there is no immediate response expected, it's a type of communication where people reply when they're free! I definitely put my phone on do not disturb at bedtime however 😅

You never know the parents situation. They may work nights and not even really think much of it. Goggle away message and let them know you will respond during your working hours.

If it was a voice mail, I would assume they think it's a business number and they wouldn't be disturbing anyone by leaving a message. But a text? Idk about that one.... 1am texts seem odd

I work shift work; my husband works nights. A teacher on threads recently had an issue with parents sending emails at 1 AM, which I thought was ridiculous... it's an email; reply when you're back at work. But texting? Nah, that's rude. Send a scheduled text. Texts and calls are only appropriate between 9 AM-9 PM anyway, unless you're really close (or office hours start earlier).
