If you call yourself a Christian but do not believe in the inerrancy of scripture, how do you trust the parts you believe are accurate?

The Bible is a library of different literature, not a single book. To understand how to read each book, you need to understand what kind of book it is. A book of history is literal inerrant history, but poetry & prophecy are written in less literal ways. We understand that Jesus Christ's parables were not literal historic stories, but instead fables to convey a point, so equally we must see other things the same God says in the same way.
