Last night at an event I met a man who shared he had been an investor for the last 40 years. He added, “I’m closer to 84 than 83.”
I asked what I should do over the next 40 years.
His advice—
• You can’t make any “real money” in the market.
• Learn to source deals.
• Invest in “who not what … ignore the shiny, slick pitch.”
During dinner the host thanked the man for his $10 million to the organization.
Moral of the story: Get in rooms with the right “who.”
