As a very melanin deficient woman, it is mainly black men and men of colour who approach me. I have dated within many different culture. I echo what was said above, we are seen as taking the eligible, successful men. I also think us being in their safe spaces is uncomfortable. For example, when I would be taken to a local Ethiopian restaurant, I felt guilty for making people uncomfortable in their safe space.
