I’ve been reading many posts from women who are now taking up space and owning their space in public places. Last weekend I arrived at the supermarket a few minutes before they opened. I was getting out of my car when a man in a large truck turned to take the spot next to my open door. I was annoyed yet somehow made myself small and ceded. I’ve been upset about it ever since. Now I’m trying to use this as a teachable moment. Next time I’ll open both car doors and stand my ground ☺️
