It's such a serious problem. By not taking any action, these platforms not only normalise hate speech, but are also telling everyone on the receiving end that this type of bullying doesn't matter and won't be taken seriously. As Laura Bates says, these social media platforms have the financing of a small country - they can easily afford more staff to deal with these issues (if they actually wanted to).
