I'm not sure how I feel about the new information. I mean it's Canon no matter what. Originally when Silco sees destroyed Powder, I figured she broke through to him and he saw himself in her and that's why he like (even begrudgingly) took her in. Similar to the vibe of Jinx and Isha. And this is important I'm just wrestling with if it lessens his want to take care of her. Now we know if was driven by a duty of promise to his long lost friend, even though he was fine until then fighting.

I still don’t get why Silco treated powder like he’d never seen her before at the end of act 1 season 1. Even his hatred for Vi. He knew they were Felicia’s kids and watched them grow up, unless he didn’t go near them after his fight with vander. I guess vander never allowed Silco to go near them but still.
