They get paid in relation to how much money they bring to the organization. If more people would watch women’s basketball or women’s sports in general they would be able to pay them more. You can’t pay them with money that you don’t have.

The men's sports attract a life time of commitment, hundreds and thousands of pounds /dollars per individual, namely men. Women sports personalities are getting there but £$3 a month discounts to see your most intimate moments devalue the professional women actually trying.
